Tabbu Biography

Tabbu Like Kareena and Kajol, Rani, Tabu also came from a family of film actress. Her real name is Tabassum Hashmi. Her aunt is one of the most famous actresses of India, Shabana Azmi. Her sister Farha was also very popular but she could not handle her career properly. Tabbu came into film after Farha retired. Her first movie was “Prem” with Sanjay Kapoor. The movie was not well received by the audience. However, Tabbu was determined. Her hardwork paid up after he signed up with Ajay Devgan in “Vijay Path” in 1994. The song of the film “Ruk Ruk Ruk” sung by Alisha Chinoi with Tabbu’s dance performance turned him into a Bollywood heartthrob. Twice she has won the National Film Award for Best Actress.
